Have you ever wanted a pet and not known who had it? I have the solution!



Whenever you go to a certain forum, there is always a search icon... that way you can search the forum or a certain topic for posts c:


Why not have a little search icon located somewhere near the "Help"/"Logout" button....


What you do is type in the name of the pet... let's say you wanted a UR lion.... you would type in UR lion.... then there will be another page that has the list of users who own the UR lion....


Another example... Let's say you want a July Lion... you type "july lion" in the search box... and up pops the list of users who own the pet c:


It makes finding a pet/dream pet... a ton easier c:

What happens if a pet is in a locked group?
If your pet is in a locked group, and someone searches that pet... your username will not show up c:

What about using description drop boxes? Like at the bottom of this page where it has "Jump to:" but instead it could be labeled "species". You could search by the species provided "dog,cat, rat, spider, etc." and there could be another one where you could search by color also like " pink, red, blue, yellow,etc."

So lets say that I was looking for a joker. So I would go under species and select "dog" then I could go over to the color box and select black or yellow since it contains both colors. Then it could pull up pictures of the choices that I selected of dogs that are yellow or black (since not all pets don't have specific names) and then I would just click on the picture of the Joker and it would give me a list of all the users who have it up for trade or in an open group.

Does that help any toward your idea? Because I would support it if it was setup like this ^_^

well i would love this idea. i am looking for wishlist pets and it is hard to find some users. although there would be some things that could be turned down about this idea also. but support and hopefully this works out i would love it

I do not support this. A lot of the pets would be in locked groups and the person would be flooded with PMs begging for them to trade it to them. Also, pets are called different things and it wouldn't work for new outcomes.

Been suggested before. Most users are not in favor of this. Plus there are no real official names so there's no real way to search for these pets.

Again, people would be flooded with PMs for pets that they don't want to trade. It's bad enough already, this would add to it. Also, the color thing wouldn't work. Depending on the screen it shows colors different ways. Blue to one person is teal or a purple to others.

Rather than by color, because that's a lot of work and the pets here aren't all basic colors/some have many, many colors, I would rather do an Archive image-based search combined with drop downs, for as follows:

Select Species -----> Year ---> Month ---> Select image of pet you want.

Honestly, I'd rather do this than flick through IDs. I'm not sure it's possible (how does the program pick up all available Timberwolf Advents?), but I like it. ^_^

However, how would the results be sorted? Some users/Pet IDs might get stuck always appearing first, and thus get more trades than someone who appears in the middle of the alphabet/year joined.
