Not digging most of the answers on this thread. Just telling people they should not be "greedy striving for rares" and not have pet collection goals on the pet collection website is silly. People are not quitting because other players have dreamies and collection goals. :?

Anyways. as always my suggestion is more re releases.

Agreed, while this is a nice idea, it would only further aggravate C$ inflation. This idea could still be implemented with something else, like items or pets or even introducing a new currency that can't be bought with real money. The currency would also help combat inflation as players may trade C$ for this currency with other players, helping to redistribute the wealth. And as this is a free currency, there would always be a more limited amount of it, helping to lessen any potential inflation. Furthermore, a free currency could also be used as a reward for minigames and have exclusive items in the shop, further helping to keep players interested in playing C$

I've been lurking this thread for a hot second but this post specifically hit me so hard. Like this was ME, I remember seeing certain monthly pets get released and loving the color palette or theme and checking every day for new outcomes! But now I'll see a pet in a dressup or something and not even recognize it because I never went back to look at the final growths for the monthly adopts. And now I just feel kinda sad *runs to look through my "growing" pets group*

But also, i 100% second all the ideas like login rewards and any and all new opportunities to get old pets! You could even do something like "if you login every day for a week you get a random uncommon pet!" or "if you login every day for a month you get a random rare+ pet!" But even if not, just more pets on dec 18th or more "dec 18ths" as a whole would be great. Some of my favorite pets were from back in the like 2013-2015 eras and I would love to see more people get a chance to get them and older pets!

all in all its sad to see the state of CS. i hope something can be done.


Exactly! Even back in 2013 to me it still felt more possible but quickly as the years passed all the pets I got for fair trade suddenly shot up to impossible worths like warrior cats used to actually be more possible to trade even with demand but now it'll cost half a collection to get one

Really glad people are bringing up hoarding being an issue tbh. I thought I was just being sensitive lol. But man, as someone who hasn't been on the site for as long as most other users have, it's really frustrating seeing people hoard tens or sometimes literal hundreds of ONE older or uncommon + pet and making them ridiculously hard to trade for, or just not trading them at all. If people are willing to trade off pets they have plenty multiples of without issue, I don't see a problem with it, but unfortunately it seems like that isn't the case with most hoarders.

Tbh me too. Like I want to collect every (non-store) snake but that's bc I genuinely like the snake design. CS is supposed to be fun not stressful! I support people having whatever goal they want, but I feel like people should be educated (not the right word maybe) on how hard a complete collection will be and be made aware of other more reachable goals they can also have. I've never had any goals besides individual pets on my WL, so I don't share the frustration of not being able to collect all of something, but lately I've felt that CS has grown into this game where people think they "have" to collect all of something to be playing the game right.

as a person with the collect EVERY pet goal its just something that would be cool if i get there :) i have a few smaller goals like complete the store pets collection but even then... its a lot. and i know theyre not technically part of the complete collection id still like them but they keep getting rarer and rarer and i dont know what my suggestion to fix this would be or if its even a problem /lh

in the meantime i just like logging in and seeing which one of my guys have grown !! and theres no shortage of that

Or make it more of an active system where you have to go click the "check in" button or complete a task.

I understand! But I feel my point is more it shouldn't be impossible at *all* for even one person. If a single person out of thousands can't do it, then why advertise the site as a collectors site? No not everyone wants/hast to have every pet, but some pets shouldn't be *impossible* at all to get (And I'm not counting store or even OMGSRs). Average rares of high demand are often worth the same as a 2008/9 pet, and its just...difficult? Or it feels that way.

Still think this issue can be solved with more Dec 18th, mOre POUND OPENINGS, or that dice roll idea!


I agree with you that the rarest pets should become easier to get. There's too easy, challenging, and too stressful, and CS is at the too stressful level when it comes to rarer pets. I don't think the site is advertised in a certain way though. It's just advertised as collecting free pets, not "you have to get really rare ones".

This is why my hordes are difficult but not impossible to trade for!! It kills things!!
