Use of your own existing official Jelly Bean Dragons is allowed and encouraged, per this FAQ post:

"WHAT CAN I DO WITH MY EXISTING JBDS?
Your existing JBDs are still yours, as are their stories and any original non-Lentilia worlds they inhabit. We want to stress the fact that just because this group and website are closing down, it does not mean you have to stop using and loving your Jellybean Dragons. Quite the opposite- we hope people will continue to cherish those designs and make use of them for years to come, even if it is not within the bounds of this ARPG. Your existing JBDs can also be turned into one off designs if you so desire, or they can have "AU" versions in other closed species, provided they allow it. In the case of using the design within other closed species, this is allowed by default according to the JBD Terms of Service- however, we recommend that you check individual artists' ToS about this if you are concerned about the artist's comfort regarding this idea."

Looked into it to make sure I wasn't breaking any rules by still using my own JBD, Mandy. Luckily it seems all is well c:

Also, Wifflebee is correct, you can use existing JBDs you own or obtain, but cannot make new designs and claim them to be part of the species. So you can still do or get art and/or writing, partake in roleplays with them, find romance for them with other JBDs, make crafts of, etc. of your existing JBDs!
Additionally, with the ability to continue to use one’s existing JBDs, one is also allowed transfer their designs into different closed species (so long as that closed species allows it). As one might be able to tell, I have transferred these two into several closed species because I have a problem™️ (I’m joking, I just adore these two and their development makes them having different lives make sense).
