i don't think there's much I wanted to expand on other than the second point-- I really don't have any hard dislikes, so if you have an idea that doesn't exactly match the ones I throw out below, by all means go for it! I have a harder time connecting to anthro/feral but I may claim still claim one, don't let that dissuade you. i'm a huge fan of artistic liberties lolol
