❝ lost a scrambled mind,
lost a home that’s mine no more,
looking for someone. ❞
the rumble rumble of the trailer rocked the filly to sleep. the days were long, and the ride had not been short. but she was finally there. her new.. home. the word filled her emotions with a sort of disgust. she had a home. but it was states away, she would never be there, again. the filly peeked out the small hole, what they called a window. it was dark, the hoots of owls and the chirping of crickets could be heard over the trailer’s rumbling. that was when the trailer stopped, and the filly perked her ears up. what was that? were they finally here? yes, they were. slowly, the door opened with a loud creak, and they came to take her outside. she didn’t want to go, so she stayed put.
but of course, they always had a way to make her come. and lo, the filly was one step away from the ground, almost to.. a new home. she cried out, whining for mama. to no reply.
the filly stepped out of the trailer.
