history - early life

maryanne grew up in a small town in the middle of nowhere. she was the oldest of seven kids, and she was often in charge of taking care of her younger siblings. she loved her family, but she hated being held down by chores. mary didn't want to be a typical housewife. she wanted to be a sharpshooter. ever since she was a little girl, she dreamed of being a skilled shooter. her father forbade her from picking up the hobby, telling her that it was too manly for her. maryanne was rebellious though. sometimes when her father was away, she would take his pistol and practice shooting at targets. she would even go and challenge the young men in the town to target practice, and she always won. word got out that maryanne was a highly skilled, if not the best, sharpshooter. her father was absolutely furious and kicked her out of the house.

mary became homeless after getting kicked out, so she resorted to a life of crime. soon, she became well known for being able to swipe anything she saw. one day, she spotted a wealthy business man and his wife. she was wearing a beautiful head piece that immediately caught maryanne's attention. golden leaves wrapped around the woman's head and a small green jewel hung down on her forehead, and two silky, black feathers hung from the back. mary knew it would be risky, but she wanted the head piece. when the woman was turned away, maryanne took her chance and slid the head piece off of the woman. what she didn't know was that it had caught her hair, and immediately alerted the woman. with a quick yank, mary got it free and began bolting away. she ran from the police that the business man called for.
