describe how your cat is responding and what they are doing about it.
for a while, windcrests ignores the visions. but as they grow in intensity and begin leaking into reality, he freezes in his tracks.
a vision from starclan? he doubts that greatly.
why would such.. "divine beings" visit him? if anything, he'd expect a curse.
he sighs, the tension in his body settling down as he sits. he'll just need to see how it plays out.
it approaches around half a moon passed when the signs of the vision leak into his everyday life.
there is a severe lack of food, even within the clan. hunting alone just won't do, but there's nothibg out there. bones of prey tease them, reminding them just how lucky they really were before.
sing your past praises, a voice says. they wont last long.
that's when he goes to speak to the leader - his leader? he never really thought he'd ever gain a rank within fickleclan other than when they called for him.
he begins explaining what he has found about the dreams; about the ghostly cat following him, about the disappearing. yarrowstar listens politely, raising an eyebrow. she stays silent until the loner ends his plea.
"why didn't you pass this on to aspenstream?" she asks, watching as windcrest scowls at the mention of his brother. in all honesty, he was avoiding him, even going as far as waiting until he was off on patrol to enter the camp.
suspicious glares mark his entrance, followed by the murmurs. he can't imagine he looks much better than the hungry cats around him - he can't quite put a finger on when he last got rest.
"this is a matter regarding your clan," he begins, raising his head defiantly. "i saw fit that i speak to the sole cat responsible for their safety."
a growl rises from her throat. "and what are you implying? watch where you stand," the molly warns.
"i mean no disregard," windcrest counters, trying to keep a reign on his agitation that's growing. "but this is a matter i'd rather you not brush off."
"do you think i'm not capable of seeing what's happening? i'm not blind." yarrowstar spits, ears tilting back. her anger is usually a rare sight, though nowadays, its easier to test her patience.
"of course not!" windcrest says in a near shout before retreating back into himself again, realising his mistake. "i didnt mean no harm, i just-"
"you come here with your own issues." she begins, rising to her feet. "there is nothing we can do for you here."
the tom is taken aback. "but-"
"don't!" she yowls, tail raised in warning. "don't you dare try dictate what i do for my clan. i suggest you take your leave."
windcrest opens his mouth to protest before he needs to dodge an outstretched paw, adorned with claws unsheathed.
"leave." she reminds him sourly. "come back when you're free of your delusions."
he swallows thickly before running out. he's outstayed his welcome, just as he had feared.
he barely makes eye contact with the familiar eyes of his brother, shocked as he darts past the crowd that has just gathered. he runs with fire on his heels and he swears that close by, the ghostly form follows him.
