his hair is very luxurious lolol. i imagine it'd have a very soft, fluffy sort of texture; but similar to my oc adrian he probably wouldn't let anyone touch it XD ooo an opprotunity to info-dump about his lore?? don't mind if i do!! orion is an OC I made for twisted wonderland but he,, kind of got out of hand? so if you know anything about the game you'll realize this is wildly non-canon to it lmao. but anyway!

basically, orion is the youngest of the rapidly dwindling population of angels (which i've cleverly given all the main characters vaguely astrological sort of names, thus his name Orion lol), which aren't at all accurate to any biblical sort of lore, at least to my knowledge. in order to understand Orion's lore I've gotta give the backstory to angels in general. in my lore, angels are vaguely humanoid creatures that feed on all forms of attention-- things like devotion and prayer do count, but even just being perceived and known is enough. the manner in which an angel goes about feeding is up to them; some who were born much, much earlier in humanity's history were clever and made their mark on history, whether as someone who influenced the tide of a war or as a literal angel now immortalized in religious texts. of course, this has its downsides. as these angels and their impersonations are forgotten or lost to time, they lose that attention given to them, and thus are finding it harder to be satiated.

this is where the other aspect of feeding comes in-- it's sort of like a drug, in a few different ways. one, it's addictive, and it's difficult for an angel to restrict themselves to only what they need. two, kind of linked to the first aspect, it stimulates those happy chemicals, and the more they consume, the more euphoric they feel, thus a "high". lastly, the more they consume on a regular basis, the higher their tolerance, and the baseline for what's needed to survive raises. of course, this is an incredibly tricky thing to juggle, considering they have to eat to live, but it's easy to get addicted and overindulge, but that was relatively easy once they found their personal balances. however, as humanity evolved and gained magic and the like, it started to take on bigger and better prey. legends of fae and the like spread across the globe, and angels, which had been pretty well hidden from humanity, were suddenly in the spotlight. it became harder and harder for angels feed to survive, let alone to their fullest, and because of this, angels began to resort to less kind manners of feeding. many of the older angels, whose baselines were much higher than their peers, resorted to mind-control of entire towns. as angels resorted to manipulation and other dark tactics, humanity saw them as a more and more dangerous predator, and began to hunt them down.

this is where orion comes in! angels don't reproduce often at all-- maybe once every 30-50 years depending, and they do so asexually. orion was hardly old enough to leave the nest when the angels around him began to disappear one by one-- they'd leave to hunt for themselves, and would either be caught by humans, or fall into the trap of addiction and lose themselves. orion was starving, having been reliant on his family's attention, and decided to leave the nest and find someone he'd recognize, whether that was a mother figure, a cousin, or a sibling, he didn't care. but he realized pretty quickly how sheltered he'd been as he learned the truth of what his species had become, and made an almost fatal mistake because of this. another thing about angels is that they can "Fall"-- meaning that, if an angel is to consciously reject their being, self, or nature, they will Fall, and become a Fallen Angel. as this has only happened maybe five times in angel history, there's really no answer as to what kind of creature a Fallen Angel is, and orion was only ever warned against Falling. but orion was horrified at what he'd seen and swore he wouldn't be like them-- which included rejecting his nature to feed off attention. thus began his Fall.

there's not alot one can do to stop the Fall once it's begun. there were two things that orion found helpful; to feed, the very thing he'd rejected, and to push back against the Fall with magic. this is where it gets a bit hand-wavy lol. Orion's solution is to infiltrate the nearby magical college, Night Raven College, which is chock full of the two things he needs-- magic, practically suffocating with how much of it was in the air and environment, and people who would give him some form or fashion of attention. so, as of right now, orion remains in disguise, making friends just like a Normal Human Being, Not Divine At All, while he tries (and mostly fails) to figure how to stop his Fall, or at the very least, what happens when you Fall.
