Finally, it's done! They are a space dude based on purple gila monster! Because gila monsters are just really cool. But I know orange isn't a favorite.
Darker patches on skin are scales, as are the smaller purple dots.

Some totally-optional lore I was considering while drawing em:

Alien species that lives for about??? 1,500 years? Their homeworld was invaded when they were a kid by a very innovative yet creul group of aliens, very unlike this guy. Instead of doing war and all that time-wasting stuff, they just dropped a huge bomb filled with nerve gas into the atmosphere that had no effect on the invaders, but caused a lot of agony for those who originally lived there. The people on the planet were already few and far between so they found themselves running to the far corners of the galaxy. Not this guy, though. Stayed out of pure spite. While the mask negates the whole 'dying' effect, it's generally very unpleasant to exist, no matter what you do to try and help it. They pass the time by doing everything they can to throw a wrench in the new neighbor's plans. Fav hobby is sulking, fuming, and even brooding. Probably keeps getting captured. Absolutely keeps getting away. Would like to say they're doing it for their family and all those who came before them, but knowing them for more than 24 hours you'd get the feelings it's more out of pride and the fear of the unknown.

Edit: Oh yeah, my likes are human designs and just shadeyenova designs in general so that works out amazingly.
