I have a lot of things in my room aha but only a few things that really mean something to me. Only thing here that should be added is a shawl my grandmother made for me before she passed. Admittedly she gave it to a dumb kid and it's nearly in tatters, but it's on my wall away from me and my dogs now
The first thing is a pair of bracelets. The painted red beads are tied to some coin charm with red string. I grabbed them while on vacation a few years ago at a gift shop and was going to give one to my best friend. She ended up telling me no and I've kept both since then. I was hurt, but they're my lucky charm bracelets. And because they open with string I'll sometimes hide them on my ankles (always together on the same wrist or ankle) that way no one can see them. Right now they're wrapped around some dried lavender in a bottle. A boy picked them for me a long time ago and I think they bring luck to my charms
The second one is a string.. something? I literally have no idea what this is. Besides pretty aha me and my aunt spent a lot of time together when I was younger, I used every reason not to be home and her arms are always wide open for me. We spent one summer day just going garage sale to rummage sale and this was one of two things I ended up buying. I keep it in my window near my bed like a dream catcher. It doesn't work but waking up and seeing it always calms me down. Getting that one on one time was really special to me, you don't get a lot of time with people when you're a triplet and it really made me appreciate her more It's completely cloth besides four bells on it
Number three is a small ball of dried clay. I'm worried it'll break at any moment or just crumple if I hold it, so it stays in the lap of my realistic cat plush my sister gave me. I doubt my mother even remembers making it, she just kind of took one of my clay balls while I was making a Mega-Gengar statue for my boyfriend and jammed her nails into it making a little happy face. I've always had a rocky relationship with her and it's nice to know she will do the small things to coax a smile out of me
The fourth one has been collecting dust under my computer monitor for two or three years now. My cousin's kids come up every summer and for some reason her daughters worships me. I doubt she does now but one year she accidently left this little cat made of beads. It has magnets that turn it into a bracelet too, except I can't remember how aha since she left it I've been babysitting it. I don't really like kids but she's my little exception.
Finally the fifth one. I know it's two but really they're a pair. I doubt anyone is reading this far aha but these almost mean the most to me. Snorlax I got the first time I went to Build-a-Bear! I went with a couple friends and we each got one. We ended up naming them as the day winded down. Mine is Tiny (recommended by the BAB computer and too hilarious to change), the other snorlax ended up being named soup and the bear/dog (I can't remember) was named dumpling as we went out to eat and got dumplings and thought up the other two names there. I don't talk to either of these friends any more but having friends that cared about me is always a nice reminder. I got Munchlax (Named Smol because he's even tinier aha) at a GameStop in a different mall also hanging out with friends and now they get to play together as the friendship patrol ♥ They watch over all my other plushies while I'm out, equipped with their sheriff badges: smiley face stickers
There have been a lot of things I've passed though to friends that if I had kept would have taken a place here. I've had so many friends run through my life and we both deserve things to remember eachother by.
