Didn't see anyone who mentioned how to shade eyes, so i thought i'd pop in and do it!
the lighter part of the iris is always opposite to where the eyeshine/light source is.


As for shading, don't use dodge/burn! It rarely looks good and you can get a better effect by using multiply for the shading and a lighter color for the lightsource. Trust me on this.
