here's your character! I wanted to do a more simple design, so sorry that I don't have as intricate a ref as yours ;-; I do have a backstory I thought of while drawing him, haha, if you'd like, you can definitely use it! (it's sort of cringey, I'm really sorry)

backstory wrote:Jack had always been enthralled by nature. Ever since he was a young boy, he remembered looking out the window of the busy city apartment he grew up in, at the spralling forests and massive mountains. Years passed and his childhood dwindled away in favor of a window view.
Jack moved out the second he was old enough to. His parents had barely gave him a second glance. He was always the outcast in comparison to his bubbly siblings who sought after his parents' fleeting attention. Within days of searching, Jack found what he was looking for. An old, rundown cabin in the middle of the woods, worn with age, abandoned and, by the looks of it, hurriedly evacuated.
Now at the age he was, danger was something that never crossed his mind. He was young, fresh and ready to explore. That is, until he lost his leg. He couldn't even bear to recount the horrid encounter that followed with the amputation of his leg and the prosthetic that replaced it. All the years of adventuring he had hoped for, the years that he had thought he would spend toughing it out in the woods - disappeared.
For a year, he lost all will to return back to his cabin. His parents had abandoned him, his siblings had all but forgotten they had a brother and he was hopeless. For a year, he sat on empty park benches, scrounging for food, begging for a morsel.
It was during his darkest time, when he was sleeping in the middle of winter on a cold, rusted park bench, when something happened. He woke up to something on his chest. Carefully, he sat up and looked about. The park was dark, save for the dim flicker of streetlights lighting the empty path.
It was a small metal thing. He picked it up and examined it in the faint light. A tiny metal heart. And it was as if this tiny thing, this unimportant scrap metal, and whoever had given it to him, had restored all hope back to him.
From that day on, he picked up his things and left the park behind. Using what little he had, he sewed the heart to his left jacket pocket as a reminder and moved back to the cabin.
He didn't have much but he did well with what he had. He made money and engineered his own prosthetic leg, an intricate thing that could outperform even the strongest human. Despite the physical and emotional scars that ravaged his past, he moved on. He was a fighter.
