I find the names annoying, the actual looks of them, like you said, too much like the animals they are based off of, and recreations of old ones.

Totally agree, the black and white games LOOK cool but they've stretched it to the limit, the originals are the real pokemon

And the pokemon in the new games are more humanoid

Yeah, they had a good series, but it just can't be kept up, the new Pokémon are just getting worse and worse. It's horrible to see something that was once so great turn out terrible. The original series and games were great, and I can guess will stand to the test of time for a while, but everything falls when it's time, and Pokémon will have that time. I LOVE Pokémon, but they are ruining it the way these Pokémon look, their names, all of the new characters (and I must say, I prefer Ash's original outfit, with his stylish cool hat). Rather than letting Pokémon stand to the test of time as long as it can, what the people making it are doing, is knocking it down. They aren't showing Pokémon to the newer generations, they are showing Lamémon to the newer generations. In 5 years, nobody will have any clue what Pokémon is, because they ruin the classics by showing all of these new dumb Pokémon, which in peoples eyes replace the originals. Then from there, they ruin their own images, so that no one likes those Pokémon, by then, they've made everyone forget the originals, and made everyone hate the new ones. They think they are helping it to stand the true test of time, but they aren't, they are pushing it down in the test of time. They're ruining Pokémon. (Sorry about such a long post, just had to get that out there.)
