Welcome to The Tarantula Site (TTS)! TTS is an educational website that teaches users about Tarantulas, while giving them a fun, enjoyable experience. You can go to the Pet Store to buy your basic, commonly sold species such as Chilean Rose, Pink Toed, and Achilles Pink Toe, or you can explore exotic markets to find rarer, more exotic species such as the Mexican RedKnee (my personal favorite), Colbalt Blue, Goliath Bird Eaters, and more!

So I recently bought a 7 year old, female Mexican RedKnee Tarantula, her name is Iris. I've done a lot of research, and, you know what, I have not seen any spider adopts out there! So, using a picture of Iris as a reference, I drew up some tarantula lineart, turned it into a base, and decided to make an Adopts site.

We currently have 3 different stores, and 10 different species to choose from. About three of those ten species have alternate outcomes, outcomes that do naturally occur in the wild.

Great news! I'm working on an Explore feature that allows users to choose the kind (old world or new world) of tarantula they are looking for, then they select a region, and then they can try to capture wild tarantulas, ones that might not be in any of the markets! The feature isn't quite finished yet, but the Old World part of it is getting there...and we have one new member! Yay!

The Explore feature has been added! The only incomplete part is North America, but Central America, South America, Africa, and Asia are all up and working!

We also now have a total of 18 different species available! And, a Library page, suggested by users on MyAdopts, has been added! It tells you very general, basic information about the species of Tarantulas (and maybe someday scorpions) available on TTS.

YAY! I finished the Explore Feature! Now I'll be adding a forum (gasp!), images to the explore (double gasp!), shop images (triple gasp!), and some more species (quadropole gasp!)

Of course I know my humanoids are terrible! I just enjoy plaguing the world with them ;P Luri's is the worst...mine's in the middle...Apaco's is the best...
