A slight miscalculation almost obliterated the island in a massive Nuclear Explosion. Many species that inhabited the island were wiped out, the population of others were decimated, all the Humans were killed. Clouds of radioactive particles covered the island for several days, before finally settling on the ground. The Australian Government hid the island away, classifying all the experiments and the disaster.
But many animals escaped from the ruined Laboratory, and headed out into the islands wilderness, eating the irradiated food. They began to reproduce, and soon, strange anomalies were starting show after a few generations. Dogs became smaller, cats became shorter and stockier, while several species of snakes grew fur. The lions that escaped, also suffered in the size department and their markings were starting to lighten, with irregular patterns.
But now, Ninety years and have passed and the radiation has finally deteriorated, leaving the island lush, green, and full of life. Its the life that now needs your help. We are having difficulty in keeping these pets alive and healthy as there are so many to now care for. Its up to you my shipwrecked friend, to save our island. . . "

The pets here require no feeding, or cleaning, they are simply there for you to watch as they grow. While you wait, you can head over to the forum and meet the other castaways.
Arcadia is a small, but growing community that is centered around adopting pretty pixel pets, and showing them off. You don't need to do anything but adopt the pets as they magically grow up without any effort on your part. We hope you enjoy your stay here.

You may remember that Pixel Dogs, Fat Cats, PPPE, Teuthida and Lil Pixel Lions recently closed down on CS. But don't worry because they have all moved to Arcadia Island. We also found a rather strange species on the Island. We don't know what it is yet, but our DNA Analysts are doing their best to find an answer
