However, I have just started naming my dragons (and I have around 500 unnamed oh dear what have I started) but anyway I was wondering how you guys name them. For example, do you just give them random names or perhaps you base them off their parents/lineage? I'm having a bit of trouble naming my CB dragons, but I have attempted to name some based on their descriptions.

Ditto the lack of patience to make a neglected dragon. I've killed everyone I've tried.

Naming! I try to name all my dragons but I am a bit behind right now.

If it's not a CB I look at the lineage and see if I can work in names from the lineage.

Some of my breeds I find a term or a word to use as a surname and name all my dragons of that type with that surname.

Sometimes the dragon will have a code that is suggestive of a word and I will go with that.

There's a whole thread on the forum about using song lyrics to name dragon.

I agree, sometimes it's hard to be creative when it comes to names.

I am currently working on a song lyric project with anagallis dragons! I have a few and I just need to breed them, but I still haven't thought of a song to do xD

I name my dragons with a basic code (S = Stairstep, SP = Spiral, F = Flat/EG, M = Messy, etc.) plus the Gen (like 3G for 3rd Gen). Then I put an actual name which is usually based on the lineage (unless it’s CB) or the dragon’s code if it’s funny. This one is actually named based on both her code and lineage.

I’ve fallen really far behind in naming my dragons though. The only ones I’ve been consistent with lately are the ones I use for lineage projects. Even then, sometimes the name ends up being just the code followed by the dragons code.
