Well CBs tend to be harder to get. Some dragons are really hard to find in the caves, like golds and silvers which makes them worth a lot. Lineaged dragons are worth less in most cases since it’s easier to get them. You can just breed and breed until you get the dragon you want, and there will be many other dragons with a similar lineage as the one you just bred. It’s different with CBs where you actually have to hunt for them in the caves, where they appear pretty randomly, and hope no one gets it before you do when the egg you’re looking for actually pops up. Or, if you’re trying to trade for a rare CB egg, you might need to look for or breed a number of other dragons, depending on what the other person wants.
As for lineages, patterns are considered nice.
Checkers,
spirals, and
stairsteps are the most common patterns.
This is an example of a messy lineage. Even though it’s a prize dragon, it’s really not worth much because of how messy the lineage is. Also, lower generations are usually worth more, though there are exceptions.
