To add onto what CSF said, your eggs need clicks to survive. I find that unless you're really active on other websites (including this one), your eggs probably won't hatch on their own since not a lot of people will be able to view your signature/bio. I learned that the hard way when I first started DC!

So I recommend using click sites to aid your hatchlings through their youth. The Allure of Neglected Dragons or Eggs Around the World are my preferred sites, all you have to do is type in your scroll name, click the eggs/hatchlings you want to add, and hit enter!

just to clarify, you don't need clicks, rather, you need views. (source: my dragons rarely get clicks). click sites give your egg views, whether they are overall views or unique views. unique views are generated from different IP addresses, so if you view it on your computer network, you get one UV. but overall views are all the views, so if you refresh from your IP address, say 5 times, you'll get 5 OV. however, as per the wiki, your UV also decides your max OV. per 1 UV, you can have 15 OV. this prevents users from refreshing their egg the entire day to get 1000 OV.

EDIT: click sites, do give clicks, but that is only if someone clicks on your egg.

The Daycare has an "OV:UV Ratio" column
It is merely for information. It shows how many Overall Views (OVs) a dragon has for every Unique View (UV) it has gained. No ratio is better than any other — some people prefer to stay as close to 1:1 as possible, while others aim for 15:1 (the highest Dragon Cave will allow). In both cases, dragons can reach adulthood with no trouble.

The ratio affects how many of a given type of view a dragon needs
With a lower ratio (for example, 1:1 or 3.2:1), the dragon will need more Unique Views, but fewer Overall Views.
Dragons with higher ratios (for example, 15:1 or 12.7:1) need fewer UVs, but many more OVs.
As long as there are enough of both types of views, the dragon will grow.

But be careful!
If there are too many of either/both types of views, the dragon will get sick, regardless of how high or low the ratio is — a dragon with a 1:1 ratio is just as able to get sick as a dragon with a 15:1 ratio.

there's debate on how much views are needed to hatch, but i just stick them in one egg hatchery and wait. i only use one, which is AOND, which i found was the biggest site. you don't need to open the autoviewer and contribute views, but it is appreciated.

Is it just me or is the elemental dragons easier to get.
I caught a ice and a magma today in the cave

I have also been seeing Ice eggs pop up everywhere, whether I'm in the AS (abandoned section) or looking in a biome, elemental dragons are everywhere.

yeah they're a lot more frequent, I've had to stop myself from grabbing them after a while, I've caught like 5 ice eggs from the cave and keep seeing magmas in their biome as well

same with CB silvers, I've seen at least 4 but have only been able to catch one because on the other 3 instances I either wasn't paying attention or had crummy connection
