- FreeKibble - Every day, FreeKibble asks a canine trivia question. When you answer the question, the site donates 10 pieces of kibble to animal shelters, whether you get the answer correct or not! Also be sure to visit its companion sites freekibblekat and freekatlitter.
FreeRice - Similar to the site above, FreeRice donates 10 grains of rice to the United Nations World Food Program when you answer trivia questions. However, on this website, you have to get the trivia question correct for the rice to be donated. But! There's no limit to how many questions you can answer.
GreaterGood(and its subsites such as thehungersite) - The sites on GreaterGood allow you to contribute to a specific cause each day by simply clicking a button. (This works because sponsors pay to advertise on the site, and then that money goes towards the cause.)
GoodSearch - With GoodSearch, you can choose a charity of your choice, and then every time you search the web using GoodSearch, one cent is donated to that charity. You can also earn extra money by playing games and, if you're over 18, taking market research surveys (please don't lie about your age to get around this restriction, as it is not lawful for companies to collect information on minors). Spending money is not required, but if you already shop online, GoodShop will also donate to your cause when you shop and they offer some special coupons and deals. (Note that I haven't used the GoodShop service myself yet, so I can't personally offer a testimony or much further explanation of the service).
The Big Test - Whoops, it's another trivia website. This time, each correct answer donates one seed of maize to farmers in Africa. There are a variety of different subjects and most are grade-specific, so you can study for an upcoming test while donating at the same time.
The Comfort Spot - Similar to the comfort thread on CS, this website is a place for people to vent their thoughts or offer encouraging words. This is a good site if you're someone who is good with empathizing, understanding, listening, or offering advice. Of course, if you're going through a hard time and need some comfort yourself, you can ask for comfort as well as give it!
Emotional Baggage Check - This is a relatively new site that allows people to carry each other's burdens. When you choose to carry a bag, it'll show you someone's struggle and then you can offer them kind words and music that you think might help them out, and they'll get a notification telling them that someone is carrying their baggage. Again, this goes two ways so you can also use it if you need some help yourself (just know in advance that it requires an email address, so make sure you're comfortable with that).
And there you have it! If there are any similar websites that you'd like to share, feel free to reply with the link and a short description of how the website allows you to help out for free. Hopefully this list can be of use to someone. Thanks for reading and have a great day. c:
