In a world of warriors, where humans never lived and it was cats who walked upon two legs,
and mastered tools, weapons and fire the five clans have lived together since before any
cat can remember. SkyClan were the masters of the rocky wood, climbing trees, and skilled
with the bow. RiverClan dominated the territory from the cascading falls to the ocean.
ThunderClan were powerful warriors who had mastered the sword. WindClan hunted the moors,
running wild over their hostile domain. ShadowClan stayed to the fens, skilled in the arts of
stealth and espionage. The clans lived in a state of relative harmony, despite their differences.
There have been border scuffles, and times that it seemed the clans would have ended up
falling apart. However in the end, the clans have always come back together. They stood
separate but in a way united, for they were all warriors. The sacred children of the wild.
The chosen of StarClan. They were the only form of mastering a hostile and wild world, where
predators many times their size roamed. Wolves, Bears, Hyenas, Lions and other creatures
that saw the cats as nothing buy a simple meal. Still, dumb predators were easy to drive off,
even the largest ones cowered at the sight of fire.
But this peace, and prosperity would not last forever. There are always times when even the
stars themselves darken. Six moons back, a cat of ShadowClan was found dead just outside
the borders of ShadowClan and the wilds beyond. Then, exactly a moon later, a Cat of
WindClan was found, it circled the clans. A cold body found from a different Clan, however
always within the wilds beyond clan territory. The thing was, no predator could have done it.
And it was not done by weapons that Clan Cats were known to use.
There have always been legends of savage cats living in the mountains. Monsters used to
keep kits in bed. But now it seems that the nightmares of kits are coming to haunt all the Clans.
