The main reason they care so much is because they put a lot of time and effort into getting them. I was there before, along with a lot of others. I sometimes spend all day getting a rare. I know animal jam was made to meet friends and have fun, but after awhile it gets kinda boring doing that. So people go and start collecting rares.
