Is anyone else slightly bothered that the only AJ relationships are boy-girl? There's no variety; it's not very realistic.

I was hanging out with a few people when suddenly someone came around saying she was a girl looking for a relationship with another girl. The judgement she received was sudden, strong, and very heinous that I can't even quote on here what was said.

I think same sex relationships are still something the majority of the AJ community don't really quite get yet, but I think if anything, those same sex couples are keeping the relationship very very VERY secret on AJ if the criticism is still very strong.

Yea...last night I was thinking about doing an ajmv to "Same Love" by Macklemore when I found out one of my friends is gay...they were really shy and sad about it but I told them that it was alright and there was nothing wrong with it.
For the sake of their privacy I won't say who it is, but I do think all jammers should respect others' sexuality c:

Honestly, I tend not to think about the relationships that you can have on AJ. Remember the game is designed for young-ish people, so the boy-girl thing is to be expected. Only the more mature or older players would think of boy-boy or girl-girl relationships. The younger players haven't really been exposed to that yet, and I hope that they don't find out about it on Animal Jam. It would be better if their parents told them, or they saw it in their home.

I saw that happening in Jamaa Township too, and the reaction was.. Negative. Some jammer figured out how to say bad things and not have it go filtered out. It was.. Bad.

I mentioned this because I see AJ as our society online in a younger kid's view. The materialism is the same, the good people and bad people are the same (some of each), you even have "updates" in real life.

So that is just another thing that could be similar.
It's sad that they aren't accepted AJ should be bully-free, but it never has been. Probably never will be ;-;
