I think the new species is released on Halloween, so the 31st.
The breeding opens a week before, so any time now basically.

Just reposting again for those who've been asking about the Halloween event and might not have seen my earlier post. ^^

Usually the Halloween event and breeding of past releases start around a week (7 days) before the 31st; So on the 24th or 25th this year, give or take. Then about 2-4 days before the 31st the Trick or Treat sprite hunting begins (if there is one). Then finally the new Halloween breed for the year is released on the 31st, and is usually available for 1-2 days into November.

It fluctuates a bit from year to year though, especially depending on what the event involves, so it's really anybody's guess exactly when it will start (TJ's probably the only one who knows). But hopefully that helps give you an idea?

Also, once the past Halloween dragons are breedable again they're able to have multiple eggs at once (2-5 I believe?), instead of just one like with regular dragons. They also breed true during this time, meaning if you breed them with something other than a Halloween dragon they'll only produce Halloween dragons and nothing else. And all the extras are sent to the AP so others may adopt them. They do go fast though so sometimes it can be a bit of a challenge to get the ones you want (especially if you're picky about lineages). Though there are lots of kind people out there who are willing to breed or grab for others who aren't able to, and of course there's no limit to how many you can have.

I'm looking for a 2nd gen pumpkin- I think they're pumpkin wyrms? The little gecko ones. I can breed a trio, silver, or high-ish gen gold in return. I also have coppers. PM me if you're interested.
I'd also be interested in a couple more marrows or shadow walkers, all 2nd gen. I have a few cave lurkers from last year.
