How does tumblr works?

Hi, I'm asking this, because I wanted to make a blog on tumblr. It's finished, I guess, but I wanted to write a Story in my blog, without any other users seiing it, only seeing it when they go to my blog.
There was a Kind of "tutorial" where I had to choose 3 other Blogs. I see now what they wrote, but they'll see what I wrote, I guess.
Anyway, it's gonna be a german Story, in german, I don't think other users want to read it.
Please answer!!!
