An alt is a rare version of a dragon. I think only the Vine, Black, and Sweetlings have them.
There's also a Spriter's alt where the spriter gets a special versions of dragons they created

as much i know geode is also consider alt form of stone, and red and green Nebula...

Nope, Nebulas just have different colors, though I suppose they could be considered alts...
However, Geodes are another breed entirely. :3

Because I don't think anyone would want a failbreed moonstone.
And I'd rather not have it cluttering up my dragons' list of offspring since I'm using them for a lineage. c:

Yes yes I am aware. I'm prepared to smash a bunch of eggs.
Especially since the egg I'm trying for is significantly more uncommon than the moonstone.
