PetRPG is a nice site with a small community and awesome things. You can adopt up to three pet at a time, most of the pets being of made up animals. You can have a main account and then three side accounts. You can change the appearance of your pet by using tokens; some just changes the color of you pets and others change the way there eyes or bodies looks, not to mention add a twist of color to them, too.
