Want To Create Your Own Nation?
Hey all, Kara here, and I just wanted to introduce a website that I think all of you rising politicians would like to check out. It's a wonderful site to help improve your speech, and it allows you to share your opinions on the economy.
Why?
Here are a few reasons:
~Govern your own country, choose how it runs, and take it to the top.
~Decide for yourself how you fix your issues.
~You're free to join regions that you want to join; based off of the telegrams you recieve after seconds of joining.
---The larger the region, the better chance of protection you have against more developed countries.
---You get to help operate that nation.
---You're vote counts there, no matter how old you are.
---You're opinions are ALLOWED.
~On NationStates, you're in control of what you do.
There are 4 issues that you recieve after joining. They vary per nation. Every day or so, you'll recieve new issues to deal with, unless you're on ''Vacation Mode'' which you have to click off.
The decision on how in depth you decide to play the game is based on you. You can keep dealing with small issues that appear on your homepage, OR, after joining a large region, you can rage war -in a sense-, vote on the government, and pass laws.
FAQ:
::Is the game for fun, or is it serious?
Well, it can be played either way. Remember, you choose!
::What Do I Do? How do I....
Okay, when you join, you'll be asked to choose a name for your nation, a national animal, a national currency, and a motto. All of these can be created on your imagination, so you don't have to stick to reality.
::How Do I Win The Game?
Simple, no one wins. One way to succeed, at least in a sense, is to make it onto the top rungs of a World Assembly report.
::How do I go to war against another nation? Or trade with them?
In one sense, you can't. NationStates doesn't include these things—because it's a simple game, and because they would bias things in favor of militaristic and capitalist nations. One of the nice things about NationStates is that you can craft a nation into your idea of Utopia without having to worry about such pragmatic concerns as national defence.
There are, however, two types of wargame that have been developed by the NationStates community. One is regional invasions, where nations attempt to move into another region and topple the Regional Delegate; the other is an in-depth role-playing game that takes place in the International Incidents forum.
Many people have suggested a more sophisticated version of NationStates, with trade and military conflicts, but this is unlikely, as it would fundamentally change who we are. At its core, NationStates is a political game, not a wargame.
