The hatchlings have three color variations, they look nice

The pygmys or the normal sized ones?

I’m 90% sure the variations are based on biome since they make sense color wise but if it’s something else correct me ^^

They are not. Every single egg that has hatches has been green, no matter what biome it's from. We don't know what makes the other colors.

Lunar Heralds aren't random. Their colours are based on the moon formations of dragcave.

It might vary depending on what time the eggs were caught. Or if they hatch at different times of the day(?)

I think I know what causes the different colours in the hatchlings. Based off the adult descriptions, I believe that if the dragon is longer in its egg it will hatch a different colour.
