Yes, they count towards your limit. All you get from the banner counts.

Me too. Those colors are so nice. And I love the socks on that first pup of yours. At first I thought "Wait! Where did that outcome grow from? D:" Then I realized it was just a regular pup with Halloween gift box fingerless gloves on. ^_^
