Now at the limit and the amount of eggs I got was
97: 1
98: 5!
99: 1
100: 1
101: 2
102: 0

Total: 10
~ 3.6% of all eggs

Very happy that I got 100 (and that I got it early so I didn’t need to worry) and egg 102 I got for an egg from a previous year (that I had as many as 7 of)

Agreed. This animal egg shouldn't have been made this rare and therefore hard to get. Quite disappointed tbh.

It's not all that rare, it's just that because the Egg is number 100, It's Avian(Tess's OC), and it ''appears rare'', people are hoarding/holding them.

Just hit the banner limit (my first one too) and never found an egg 100. I traded for one but it took several attempts and probably a little overpaying ^_^;;

Egg 98: 4
Egg 99: 3
Egg 100: 0
Egg 101: 2
Egg 102: 2

I traded one egg 98 for an egg 97, just to have a double of everything. I know it's all RNG, but getting 4 squid eggs and no egg 100s at all is really pushing it.

I don’t think it’s as rare as what people have been paying for egg 100, but I do think it’s the rarest egg this event. I’ve seen a fair amount of people say the got 3+ of other eggs but haven’t seen the same for 100. Most people seem to have gotten 0 to 1 with the occasional person saying they got 2.

This is what I though of first, too. But I don't get that impression any longer because I see most of the people don't get that egg. I haven't found people who are hoarding them. Actually I haven't found one person who owns more than 3. Even people who own 2 of the Avian egg are so rare. 😮

I’ve seen a lot of discussion about this, and I was almost inclined to agree that egg 100 had a lower drop rate as I hadn’t gotten one while I had gotten around 4-5 of egg 99… but then I got two in a short span of time so I feel like the rarity of egg 100 is to do with trading demand alone, being the big 100th egg and all.

I initially thought it was statistically rarer, but over time I think it's more to do with it being a milestone egg based off of the site mascots, which inherently would make it much more in-demand and popular. If it was just like the other eggs and only based off of a regular pet, I don't think we'd be seeing so many people talk about needing it. For example, I'm sure plenty of people are still missing the dog animal egg, but we rarely see anyone talking about it because it's not a design that really stands out as much as egg 100.

That's pretty much my thoughts. There's plenty of cases where a pet is simply uncommon but people go nuts over it because it's special in some way or has a very liked design and then assume it's going to be/is rare which further increases the demand for it. Not saying egg 100 can't be rarer, since there have of course been cases where a pet with crazy demand really was rare. There's also going to be more of 97-99 around because they were introduced earlier. I'm curious for people who got a lot of those, how many were gotten from the banner after 100 was released.

I also just clicked on five random people in the users online section and four of them had egg 100 among their other animal eggs, which further makes me think it's not extra rare - people just don't want to trade it and the people who are missing it are the loudest.

waitt can anyone explain this? I'm just confused cause I thought there's still several more hours to collect banners today. I've found 275 eggs in total lol
