It's not just pets from 11 years ago, it's rare pets from all of the previous years. They're special because they'll all be old rares and up, pets that you can't get anymore without trading.

Hm. I have a question. My sister and I play together, though she hasn't been very active for this advent calendar. I'm going to encourage her to try and hop on for the 18th since it's such a special day for the entire event, but am afraid it would come up as cheating in the system. Is that worry unfounded?

If she is adopting the December 18th pets with the primary purpose of benefiting you or just giving them to you for free, CS counts this as cheating

Ah, then we should be fine. We each keep our own collections and just occasionally help each other with missed outcome swaps. She just is a bit less consistent with holiday participation, lol.

Because the pets that are released on Dec 18 are older pets, they tend to be more valuable than say your advent pets. Dec 18 is the chance where players can randomly get a highly valuable pet like the sun litter pups. Even if one doesn’t get a highly valuable pet, at the very least, it makes for trading fodder

Edit: ah wait, I think you’re mistaken. Today’s snow birds are just regular advent pets. Tomorrow is the big deal.

they could very well be rares from last year
