The group of foxes had been gathered around their fireplace, hanging up their stockings and dressing the mantle with cute decorations. "What do you think Santa is gonna bring us?" asked Holly, the pastel yellow sibling. She had been the youngest and purest.. "I'm hoping for a new set of Hot Wheels!" snickered Cacao. He had been the oldest and was OBSESSED with cars. "I don't care about presents, I just want my stocking filled with chocolate and caramel" Dancer replied as she had placed a Nutcracker in the center of the mantle. Cacao and Dancer had been twins, yet Dancer had been born 6 minutes before him. She was deemed the smartest of the bunch, and the most mature. "I want a microscope! Not one of those stupid plastic ones from Toys R Us though.. A real one" grinned Sugar-Coat. Sugar-Coat was the middle-child and had a bright future for becoming a scientist.

"Sugar-Coat.. Toys R Us shut down" Dancer said simply, turning towards her brother with a sad expression. Sugar-Coat mouthed an "Oh" before an awkward silence fell over the group. Sugar-Coat had been shuffling his sock-covered paws as the lump in his throat grew bigger.. "Wait a second!" shouted Holly, "What do you mean it shut down?" she yelled, tears began filling the young fox's eyes. "She still doesn't know?" cried out Cacao, growing angrier at the second. "I'm sorry, I just couldn't tell her!" Dancer worriedly explained, before softly patting her sobbing sister's back. "Hey, it's okay.. We still have Target" she whispered softly. "Target just isn't the same!" cried out Holly, before slamming her head against Dancer's shoulder and letting out another wail.. "Keep it down or Mom is gonna hear!" Sugar-Coat whisper-yelled at his older sister in a panic. "We wouldn't have to be dealing with this if Dancer manned up" complained Cacao as he kneeled behind his younger sister, patting her shoulder in an awkward manner. Holly continued sobbing into her sister's shoulder before their mom ran from the kitchen into the living room. "What's going on?!" she demanded.. "Nothing!" Sugar-Coat blurted, stepping in front of the scene. "We were just uh.. doing uh.. dumb Reindeer impressions!" he stuttered out, fiddling with his paws.. "What's behind you?" their Mother scolded, "Look, she isn't crying because we hurt her feelings!" Sugar-Coat yelled out as a bead of sweat fell down his face. "She just.. uhh.. found out that Toys R Us closed down is all... heh" Sugar-Coat stuttered again. He began fidgeting with his paws more and more as his face heated up, tail between his legs. Their Mother sighed, lifting a paw to her forehead and letting out a dreadful sigh.. "Why don't you guys tell her these things sooner?" she groaned, shaking her head more and more.

How dare you. I'll have you know that there is a toys r us about 30 min away from where I live.
It is still open, and people still go there. Let all the foxes go there and be happy.
