2018 Summer Event: Casual Chat v2

Yes this. I left CS a few years back, but was a member before that since literally the first month of it's existence. It could be just that I missed all of these "super plots" that everyone keeps talking about because I was gone, but this event seems like ever summer event that I was ever a part of. There is SO MUCH complaining going on. I get it about the tokens and wish I could help, but come on guys. If you don't like it, so be it. But does it really make you or anyone else feel better about it to just keep complaining? And the staff habe probably already read enough of the complaints to last them a few years, so it's not like anyone really needs to do it to give them hints of how they could do it differently next time or whatever. At this point... well, what's the point?

I mean, there is a lot of complaining but I guess it’s just many people that think the same thing and express it a bit. A lot of similar thoughts put together making a big, unintentionally negative grey cloud, if you know what I mean? Everybody says a little something and it gets out of hand.

Also, we see more of it tonight because there is trade ins that need token chips again. Of course the players are going to talk about it

I’m not trying to defend anyone, I know seeing constant complaining gets stressful and annoying, but it’s just people leaving their little grain of sand that ends up in a gigantic pile of negativity, it isn’t really anyone’s fault in particular!

But that is just It, most of the complaints I see are from the same people, which I wouldn't expect because of how many people are on this site. A lot of people making small complaints, but then on top of that almost a team of people feeding on it. Which sounds super sinister, but I doubt they actually are. They're just that salty about it. But that means the complaints can't ever die back off. I barely see anyone posting about character shipping or the fun stuff anymore, even though nothing done so far in the event takes away from that. It's just so negative in the discussions and the chats right now. I feel like all this complaining could easily be what ruins this event for many of the people who are actually having a lot of fun. If I were younger I wouldnt want to post my fun fan stories or dressups on a thread full of salty complaints. Honestly I was really enjoying this event until I started seeing all the negative. Now I almost want to be like "forget it" and not participate at all if it means escaping this... cloud. Idk.

this is one of my first real cs events that i've part took in for a long time, and its honestly frustrating that getting resort chips are in about one in every 6-7 hours or so, but it's truly amazing to see the amount of time and dedication the staff puts into these pets and making the event work. so yea, it's frustrating when you dont get the token that you want, but its really satisfying trading in for the pet that you want with resort chips :>

Uh oh. I've reached the banner limit, but I have 10 resort tokens left and haven't started buying the macaw butterfly wolves. Fingers crossed!

I can't express how much I agree with this. The event is a little stressful, but its supposed to be fun! All these complaints are really getting out of hand and are kind of sucking the fun out of everything.

The only time I trade three tokens in on the buttermacaws and I get my favorite one! <3

@Coastal Coyote-You took the words right out of my mouth. That is exactly how I've been feeling. I love this event but all these same salty groups of people need to stop ruining the fun.

For me, I think my favorite summer events were...

Dreamland > Egypt = Beach > Space = Medieval > Lost City > Candy

I don't know where this Jungle event would fall. I like some of the designs more than both Lost City and Candyland, but the resort chip thing has rather soured my enjoyment. I wish there was a fruit/seed/plant/machine part trade in for chips. Doesn't help I get maybe one every 4 hours, or that golf/ducks don't guarantee a pet. Lost City had the gambling thing with the hamster racers and the shell game too, but I don't remember those being quite as bad.

for me it has to be egypt > space > lost city > candy!
i dont really want to place the jungle event yet because it might change at the end but i have a feeling it will be around equal to the lost city or candy event

That's true! Personally I am still hoping for some chickens recolored like cassowaries, or some neat reptile/insect colored rats or dogs or something. Or maybe pets possessed by the forest spirits.

Oh, and maybe a raincloud that dumps resort chips on everybody.

I absolutely love the pets this year, but like most people, the token problem is getting to me cx
I'm so thankful to the staff for even doing these cool events, because they're taking time out of their lives to do it and we should all be greatful for what we do get~
However, some changes could be made to make this a better event, I'm pretty content with it as it is ^^

Lol, even if you get repeats, just swap them for the ones you need! Swapping has made it so that I've had to so far use the bare minimum tokens (of any kind)

i get that the complaining can be really negative but i think that just how people are feeling at this point. everyone was fun and positive at the beginning because we all had hope at the beginning. i think everyones just starting to feel depleted and bored at this point.
everyone just wants to say their opinions, which is a good reason for having this thread.
hopefully once everyone had aired their complains, we can try to get back to our fun-loving selves. im just feeling so drained at this point and i think a lot of people are feeling the same why ;u;
i promise we arent trying to drag everyone down, we just want to state our feelings
