2018 Summer Event: Casual Chat v2

As someone who is here since the first summer event, I think the chat kinda blow things out of proportion. Yes i was hoping for more plot today but oh well. Saying there is no story is wrong. It’s just very slow. And it’s most decently not the most stressful event. The most different tokens had when I remeber the eagypt event. I remeber getting so many bricks and no maps.

This event is more of a getting back to the roots event. It reminds me of the medival festival. Slow story but alot cool pets. Like serious I think this is the event with the most new pets. Others where a lot cats and dogs but this one gave us The bird thingys, the okapis, gorillas, the lemurs,...

I do agree that the resort chips are too rare, but as someone who works 6 days a week and also has to take care of her horse, i still manage to get them all (Beside the new ones today).

Everybody can have they own opinion and nobody has to like this event, but I really think it’s not much different than old events. And I really liked the old ones. Because plot don’t help you if the pets you get are so little ore not interesting at all.

The only truly new pets I've noticed so far are the birds? Correct me if I'm wrong but, the okapis are horse lines, and the gorillas and lemurs are dogs.

I feel like this event needed a better story I just don't feel apart of the world or invested in it like before, last year was amazing and so were the years before it just feels weird, not much happening at all story wise for now it feels like im here for pets instead of the story ;-; I wanna be here for both

I've been traded some, but I haven't got any on my own yet today, because of the gosh dang chips!!

Yeah I may try to trade for them but I dont have much anymore for that tbh. Worst that could happen is getting them after the event when the hype has cooled down, I guess?

It’s just, I saw them today and got super excited. I literally waited for every banner because oh my gosh if I get one more chip I can get a parrot but it just, didn’t happen.

Over the past three days I haven't gotten a single resort chip which is annoying the heck outta me since I really love the macaws, but no one's willing to trade them away - same as the resort chips.
I have so many fruits + seeds it's crazy x0

Yeah me too, it’s been a pain getting them and I got most of my kitties by trading since I spent the few chips I got on macaw eggs.

I honestly think the Bwolf should be traded for fruits..? It would be so much easier. They’re so so so pretty but I can’t get them at all, and I think it’s the same for many other players.

im pretty sure that's right. all the other pets have been edited lines but the macaws are new.
still, i do really like the okapis and gorillas and such. the artists obviously dont have enough time to make completely new lines, which is completely fine

Guys, just saying, we really shouldn't complain. We should be happy that we got an event. They work super hard to put this on for us and we really should be grateful

I do feel honestly bad for complaining, but if I can't get the tokens I need it's not much fun either... this event would be so much better if the tokens were either just not a thing, if they were for much fewer trade-ins, or if they were an hourly drop thing like the machine parts. Now, I have so many machine parts so it could be argued that that would give us too many but frankly there are *two* games that might not give you a pet, not to mention all the items that need resort tokens, so I think it would balance out to be pretty okay.

I really wish they'd done that. Or made the machine parts the trade-ins for the games.

True but it still has something new. Not like the lost city event where it pretty much just was dogs with fins. And the okapis look nothing like horses anymore

They still look cool and new-ish since they’re so heavily edited! And yeah the artists don’t have time for that, + they’d need to add even more versions to the clothing items so that it fits the new animals.

Adding that macaw line was super awesome though.

Yes this. I left CS a few years back, but was a member before that since literally the first month of it's existence. It could be just that I missed all of these "super plots" that everyone keeps talking about because I was gone, but this event seems like ever summer event that I was ever a part of. There is SO MUCH complaining going on. I get it about the tokens and wish I could help, but come on guys. If you don't like it, so be it. But does it really make you or anyone else feel better about it to just keep complaining? And the staff habe probably already read enough of the complaints to last them a few years, so it's not like anyone really needs to do it to give them hints of how they could do it differently next time or whatever. At this point... well, what's the point?
