2018 Summer Event: Casual Chat v2

I'm just curious, why aren't the middle eggs with the summer event on the archive?

Pets only get added to archives once they are full grown. I believe only one of the egg outcomes has grown as of today.

Oml yes! From what others told me, the Egypt event and the Space event were the best. I wish I knew about this site before those events happened

In my opinion Egypt was quite good but my absolute favorite was the slumber party event it was just so good the aesthetics were on point I think they changed the whole sites theme (might be confusing with another time though) and the pets were breathtaking. The story was also very good with the whole good vs evil thing

my fav event pet and item wise was definitely the space event. plot wise my favorite was the lost city one.

I actually haven't been having the trouble that other people have been having with getting resort tokens. For me it's just about every other one or sometimes nothing but them for an hour. I was completely caught up on pets and items before todays rollover and even spent extra resort chips for extra eggs. I even had enough to get three of the new pets today I just got a double of the rainbow that I'm hoping to swap for the blue and yellow and then I'll be caught up. I also don't really have the time to grind I stay quite busy most days. Maybe I've gotten lucky I just feel that it's likely easier for some than others and only the unlucky group seems to be speaking out so I figured I'd put in my 2 cents. Regardless though thus far I have enjoyed the event though it seems less involved than some previous years.

I figured there was some people getting them a lot. I'd have to consider myself one of those people yesterday or the day before, today I'm not as lucky however. It's nice that someone isn't struggling, and I'm just saying that they're difficult for a lot of people to get, not specifically everyone in general. I appreciate your 2 cents, it's nice to have an opposite view to this supposed dilemma.

I remember when people were complaining how hard the summer event was last year and that the story ended kind of weirdly. This event makes last year's look like the kiddie pool of CS events. Resort chip trade-ins every other day, two chance games that require those chips as well with low chance of actually getting the pet/plushies you need, and the story isn't all that interesting, really. I remember how engaged I was in the story last year, finding it really interesting and even a bit funny at times, with how Cuttler reacted to you. The characters were all made so fun and lovable, and they just drew me in for more. This year? It's alright, I guess. There's nothing really unique to the characters besides the almost canon ship and the love triangle that we made up. I remembered the names of all the characters last year because they were memorable, not because I clicked on them every day for new pets and items. There's no real plot or action in this story, either. I would understand if it were something like the medieval fair, but we're in the jungle. There are so many things so can do and places you can go with that one word. The deforestation was a nice start, but it just kind of...faded away. We haven't gotten any other actions with the bulldozers yet, such as the evil boss guy coming to talk us down. The spirits, no matter how angry they're getting, haven't blown the bulldozers up somehow, either. So where is all this going???

Where do I even begin on this event..? As a player for 4-5 years I've seen a lot of the events, regardless if I took a break or not. But when I got invested in an event like the Egyptian one, it was absolutely magical. I loved the story and the pets that we were able to get. The items were cool and really suited the event, everything was just simply, great. I can't exactly remember much of it anymore because it was a really long time ago, but I remember getting so excited because I got Cleo. This event is more of a chore if anything, like I stated before. I'm really hoping the story goes into an interesting direction, cause the deforestation with the forest spirits is an interesting concept. So much can happen in a jungle, like you said, and the CS team is a creative bunch. I feel bad about bashing on this event, but a little criticism can go a long way. This event just feels like it has no direction and is covered in loose ends, except for the one relationship (which, honestly, I'm not that drawn into since the people in this event don't seem to really stand out). I like the pet designs and how they look in this event, but they're too "bland"? The new parrot bws are severely bright for my liking, and I'm low key considering to drop this event until something cool comes out cause I've devoted too much of my time to it already. I already got a bunch of eggs, and all the pets have really nice lines, but that's about it. I enjoy real life versions of pets, but I'm more a fantasy person myself. It's still nice and all, but maybe we could spice it up a bit?

I feel like I'm just in this thread to complain, but honestly, the only satisfying thing about this event is getting all the pets after having to go through such a struggle to get them in the first place. Like I said, it's cool, don't take it the wrong way, but it's grueling to wait for those bulldozers to be destroyed at this rate regardless if it's only been a few days since the machine part release. I guess this event just isn't for me, but I'll still participate I guess.

The Egypt and Dreamland events have my votes for the best, both design and plot-wise.

I wish I'd been around to see that one, the pets are so pretty from it. The Eygtipan event was my first event so it'll always have a special place in my heart

I love this event, it is a bit harder but it is still do-able, just gotta find people to trade with. I got lucky (not really) that I happened to be jobless. The characters are a bit lacking and there are a TON of bird themed pets but I love having CS pets based on real animals and the plot is slow but I'm sure there's something exciting coming. I love the designs of the pets, wish there were more items. especially scenery. I think they did a good job this year, everyone's tastes are different.
