2018 Summer Event: Pet, Item, & Event Discussion

[center]I saw many posts with guesses/confirmations on what the realistic pets' designs are based off of, but since there was no compiled post, I decided to make one. (Thank you to anyone who actually found the species that the pets were based off of! Also, any pets marked with * aren't confirmed by the artist yet ^^)

Thanks so much for compiling this, it's really helped me a lot. I wonder if there's a permanent archive for pets based off of real pets? ^_^

I feel like I'm the only one who isn't bowled over by the parrot parrots They are definitely pretty and it's great to have new lines, but I think I would've preferred a frontal view of the pet so you can see chest, cool body details, feet, etc. I will of course keep trying to get all the varieties though, they are still nice.

My biggest disappointment is something I've been griping about for a while time now-- no chicken pets! You know what the last summer event to include chicken lines was? Slumber party 2013, edited into ravens. I don't know, I'm beginning to feel that chickens are the least popular pet with some artists/staff and or only a few people have permission to edit them. They're some of my favorite pets and lines, so I'm always crossing my fingers that they'll get to participate in events. Junglefowl would've fit in perfectly.

While I have to agree on the point of the chickens - considering just how many bird pets there are, it's a wonder we didn't end up getting any on those lines! - if the artists don't like the chicken lines then it's gonna be that frontal chest and tummy view that's the issue. I'm fine with this alternative pose if it means we get more birds!

I fell asleep before rollover last night, but I woke up to one of my personal favourite days of the event today - getting those token swaps means that the balancing is fine again, and means I can drop all my tokens on all the macaws I want - not only that, but we got a couple more syrians (of which I hoard the whole species) and! More macaws to boot! Oh, and I can't forget getting those cute sprites as items. I couldn't be happier with this last day personally. <:

Only 4 so far from the resort chip eggs, the others haven't grown yet. Theres no way to tell if there will be a split in the resort chip eggs yet.
