I love the raven item set so much!

I also really like the rats tonight, particularly the brown one.

I actually think this is one of my favorite Halloween's pet wise. Two sets of bats. Two and a half sets of rats. Squids. Dwarf ham candles and mummies. All we're missing are chickens and we'll have gotten all five of my favorite pet lines.

I really hope we get some chickens! That would honestly make my Halloween complete.

Honestly, I think part of the problem is that this event is following the /massive hit/ that the space event was.
The Space event has given the whole of CS a higher set of standards for events now, and Methinks the Artists didn't quite anticipate that. If you present people with big, flashy, stunning displays, they grow to expect it all the time.

The Space event gave us 3 Dragons, 6 cows, a Scorpion, a Lion, a Unicorn, and and Alicorn; and not to mention Lilian's 8 amazing line edit Aliens. Let's not forget the Council Edits, too!! We got /so much different/ in that event, that seeing the same lines repeated with /minor/ edits is....Lackluster.

I understand the comparison is only so fair; one is the Summer event, one is Halloween, but the gist of it is that you simply can't proceed one so great with one so dull and not exact a bit on complaining. And believe it or not, I /have/ been on the quieter side about this. I could probably keep this up for a few days, if you let me, but it's not worth it.

Its really bothering me how much negativity is being thrown about for this event because less common l, less popular lineart's were used. Halloween not being a dog heavy isn't a new thing; Haloweeen being rodent, bat, deer etc oriented isn't a new thing. And for all the first year users saying that this event is a bust, guess what? It comes and goes. Not everyone is gonna love every event and there is always next year. No matter what the artists choose to do not everyone is going to be pleased. Compare/contrast all you want, count the outcomes, ultimately it changes nothing and it's not constructive. I've said my piece, I'm done now.

I personally adore this year. It's been super unique and in my opinion a fairly low stress event. A+ work in my book!
