Holy crap, staff, please, could we keep this theme as a regular theme. It's just lovely ughhh and I'm sure that the darker theme is just what a lot of people would like- coming from someone who stays up late on CS, the darker theme wouldn't blind my eyes as much XD and trust me, many users would love to have this theme stay

Man, how does it strain it? Just curious ^^

Basically, usually if you just visit the same site again, your browser will fetch certain information about it from your cache, whereas a refresh (or hard refresh, depending on your browser) will ignore the cache and reload the entire content of the page again (that's why sometimes you have to refresh a pet's image to see a new dress-up). Which means more work for the server. If one person does it, that would be no big deal, but with how many users CS has and how many of them do refresh, it can become an issue.

Official statement goes like this:

Please don't refresh pages over and over like that - it slows down the server and can cause some significant lag if a lot of people do it. Switching back and forth over a few pages is just as effective and has less impact on the server, as refreshing forces it to reload the entire page again each time you do it while switching pages lets it use the cached images.
