I really hope they do bring back the animal egg only thing again!

Yeah, probably since they are the same except one is mainly blue and the other is mainly yellow.

...no, they were both exactly the same. The box you're looking at is the free item box. Remember, pet-boxes have 'adopt me!' not 'get this item'.

To add, if you check the first page of this thread you can see that the Day 1 pet gift and Day 3 gift had the same box art, so there should be two of this box on the adopt page instead of just one:

I'm still only seeing the free items from day one..not seeing two of the same boxes.

hah no i didn't find an animal egg despite the fact i want one so desperately i would sell my soul to the devil and plait his hair and clip his nails ;-;

and spent it straight away...

and now i just still need 6 more things >;3

got all the free items [but that plain goldish chick]
and now i just need the goldish chick and all the animal eggs :D
i'm so proud XD
gotta save up my eggs now till rollover. doubt i'll have many though with three hours left. [should really change the times on my laptop. still haven't moved the clock back an hour]
