You betcha! If you look closely at the cage, there's a bar at the top. The bar is shaped like a T, as if it's a perch. Usually perches are for birds, but it's too high to be able to be used for a bird. There would be no room for it's head, it'd be smooshed! *giggles*

So the theory is the perch is that high so something can hang down, not up. And, the thing that was suggested was it being a hanging perch for a bat. ^.^

I agree with the bat theory. And my opinion on outcomes is the number of different faces on the cage x.x

I just got my third cage. I think I'll try to get five, then adopt some more cats.
