It's probably because there were more people playing this year- More people got the pets so they're more common.

The sitting cat rarity is surely not hoarders' fault. I do not say that because I'm small hoarder but because that cat was not gotten with tokens so it is surely not their fault because everyone had the chance to get it only once (no matter how many they got). I don't see a lot of people hoarding the radioactive b-wolves or the mythical sea creature cats or whatsoever you may call it, or the dragons or some others and they turned out to be uncommon only. Like it's been said, there were probably way more people playing this year but hoarders' fault it is not for sure.

I honestly don't understand why people are surprised at the rarities.... the token limit has been higher than any year before. Of course this is going to mean that there are more of those pets in circulation and they will be a bit less rare for a while. A lot of them were popular enough to be hoarded so people adopted more of them.

Same with the banner pups. I didn't even reach the final limit, but I did work on it a little each day and ended up with around 10 banner pups. Some people in this very thread, the last week were disappointed when they got banner pups instead of candy. I don't understand how someone can see those types of things going on and somehow expect the banner dogs to be worth rares list pets.
If you were too impatient, needed it now and spent a rares list pet at the beginning, that's on you. But expecting that kind of value to stay is really unrealistic.

As for the sitting cat, it was a freebie so everyone got the same amount. Token pets are the ones you can adopt more of and theoretically change the rarity.

Exactly. And last year the limit even being lower than this year the banner dog still turned out to be uncommon, I don't see the surprise in that. For this year like yeah, there are two banner dogs but the limit was twice last year's so it was expected to be something similar...

I hit very little over 200 banners and got like 4 pups on my own so...

The only ones that surprised me were the VCs(I didn't expect it to fall under Common), and I believed that the 2 radioactive B-Wolves and the two bunnies would be rare since they weren't so popular and I hadn't seen them as much.

Wait for a few more years
They will be fares xD

I really don't think you have to wait that long. I'm pretty sure some of them will be changing in the next 6 months. That tends to happen with a lot of the event pets.

I will admit I am surprised about some of the rarities. But that doesn't mean there isn't some other thing going on to cause the surprise, such as people making duplicate accounts for more pets. I'm pretty sure these guys will see another change in about 6 months.

Also, according to Totoro's items, 300,000 more of each token were traded in this year than last Halloween.

Just want to say I loved this event! I'm very thankful for the staff who put this together. There were so many awesome looking pets and items this year.

A little surprised people are shocked and upset about the rarities though. I didn't have a lot of time for this event because I was to busy to find them. I only found maybe 160-170 banners and I still have 32 extra pets and I didn't even focus on getting pets but items.
