I already figured they would add another banner creature - hopefully it will be easier to get it. But I'm still dying from trying to get tokens and stuff for things I'm missing.

The banner pups sit on the top of every page with their piles of candy waiting for users to see the banner. They drop a token down into the basket and when the user clicks it that's what they get. Sometimes they can use the candy to knock a pesky ghost in instead. But if they aren't careful they can slip and fall right down on their backs - kerplunk! And that's how you adopt a banner pet.

I probably need sleep lol.

Good thing it's getting colder... now we just need a little water.. and PRESTO ice! then we have pups slipping everywhere ehehehe

Well, regardless of how or when the new banner pup went into circulation....it is utterly amazing! I LOVE the colors/patterns of wild dogs. Hopefully the banner will be nice to me and give me one before I run out of clickies.

Do you guys think banner pets are slowly being phased out?

In 2011, we had 5 outcomes via blanket pups from the banner. In 2012, we had 4 that no longer grew. In 2013, we had a mere 2 outcomes that are also no growths. And this year, it is looking like a repeat of last year. But I see why this trend is happening.

Every year it is constant complaints over missing out on banner adopts. And while I too have argued in the steep difficulty, I also understand an easy pet isn't worth much in the long run. I actually miss the pandemonium that was 2011. But I fear we might not see much(if any) on future banners.

Do you guys think this is a good thing? There was always an element of surprise with banner adopts. It just seems to be less and less surprises lately.

My memory might just be really clouded but I don't think I recall people being as mad about the banners back in 2011? I mean sure we were all wanting to get them all pretty badly, but I don't think there was this same amount of...impatience and frustration. I remember we were talking a lot more about what gender we thought they were, and how we liked their design, and even how they might all be related

This year we don't even have split outcomes and everyone is just fighting to get the one. I can't even imagine how bad it would be if there were FIVE to get

I think people overpaying so much for them has a lot to do with it. It makes them seem impossible to get for users who don't want to cough up very rares for a rare/uncommon pet and then we get frustrated and feel cheated, I think. I don't know HOW those pups started getting such overpay, but I think it's harmful to our mood TBH

This is why I think that it's beneficial to have a second one now. When there's more than one of these pets-- and they are liked about the same by users-- it means that users can easily use one as trade fodder for the other and it gives people twice the chance to get a pet from the banner each click.

Nope people weren't mad in '11 - people just really wanted the banner creatures xD '12 was really easy compared to '11 - I'm not kidding - I managed to get 12 Pumpkin Dogs (pretty much just swapped for the other ones) easily.

Yeah, this year people are paying crazy amounts for outcomes - it wasn't this bad the previous years.
