they never said but since this is the last day of event i would assume no they won't open it

I do not believe the event is over. First, the vote never ended, and second, the basement/bathroom never opened up.

I just logged back on to CS after an hour of being off to find that I have 8 trades. All for my PPS Fox. The demand for this little guy is insane. O.o

I enjoyed the event this year
realitively stress free than in previous years which was nice.

I hope that the vote will actually affect some part of the event, unlike last year's event where the vote was a slight let down simply because it did nothing ._. (and neither the team dream or team nightmare were happy about it)

but with all the hinting about voting I have a feeling that it will be somewhat significant in the event even though token distribution has stopped

I thought that Archie's loss would open up the bottom chamber and reveal him apologizing to Cleopatra or something but now I'm not so sure, as that chamber has been locked for the entire event.

But I guess we will have to wait until voting is officially done to see if anything changes
