yesterday i couldnt stop geting sand, i have a bad feeling that this will not end, i will not stop geting the fireflys -.- meh it just means i can get the firefly dogs.

...So we've got another moral dilemma here, which is just great. Deconstructing the two conflicting firefly collectors, this is what comes out, through my basic and circumstantial point of view:
Before today, the only choice you had was to snatch the poor insects from Sleepytown and give them to a store for lighting that only lasts a half hour. All the while, the firefly dog is missing her friends and wonders where they've gone. When you finally notice her, assuming you're still trading in the fireflies in the hopes of a white creep or other critter, she asks you to find her friends. The ones you've already been bottling. So you've probably got at least one firefly on hand; moved by the hype for the pets and New and Shiny Syndrome, you're desperate to present her with her friends. When you finally do, she's so grateful that she lets two of her four-legged companions accompany you.
She probably had no idea what was going on.
