Dont even stress it can be super confusing,

so normally yes age = rarity however once a pet becomes more valuable than an being worth normal rares it becomes something called an ma ( mid advent ) which is worth 8-10 2009 Rares

These pets are primarily ones from the old rares list with a recent amount of rares bumped to ma status which you can find here > Forum/viewtopic.php?f=20&t=4470908

My favourite place on the site for learning some worths of more valuable pets is this one as all you have to do is search a pets name or worth nd it pulls the most recent data other users have submitted for those pets.

For reference too its worth having a look in the archives for the pets that are 'special releases' these are refereed to as ur pet e.g the ur orange tree. These are released each christmas and will always be worth a fair chunk

I checked a guide earlier (Horror's, if I'm remembering right?) and it seems like the values are roughly equal on both sides, I'm also much more partial to the horses than the dragon -- however I am still very much new to this site, so I just wanted to get a second opinion before I make a decision :]

Tess dragon is from November 2009. I collect Tess dragons and hoard the horses, but even I wouldn't touch the trade. Seems a bit unfair to the bottom. 2nd opinion would be good.

your december 18th dog has the change to grow into a VR from 2009 or an OMGSR (the OMGSR is worth 3 MAs or 30 old rares). the reindeer rat is a normal ER, but even so they’re only offering recent commons and that’s no where near enough to be worth the rat alone.
