Some help to thicken the plot

So basically I'm asking for some help on a plot line.


before rp starts
Its a normal town, you know with happy families and such. One day they have an odd storm. No rain, but the wind and lighting is awful. Towards the end, the flashes of light look almost green, but they think maybe it's just cause they're tired because it's gotten so late at night. The town sleeps, and when they wake? Most of them are gone. Only those between ages 16-25 are alive. This was six moths ago. As soon as one hits their 26th birthday, they'll disappear that night while everyone is asleep.

What happens to children being born after the event? Are they allowed to exist or do they pop out of existence because they're below the age threshold?

Is there any threat to the characters besides reaching 26?

What is the main goal? Is it just slice of life or is there something the characters are looking for?
