Why are all the werewolf role plays feral?

Maybe this is the best place to ask this question or make note of this "issue". I'm really frustrated that every werewolf rp I've seen have featured feral werewolf forms, rather than any more bipedal/monstrous werewolf forms. Why is this the norm here? I'm genuinely curious if anyone might know.

I personally think, that the availability of reference pictures plays a major role in this.
It is so much easier to find images of feral wolves that are free to use; then images of bi-pedal werewolves. In most cases of main-stream media werewolves, those are shown as feral wolves too - which I guess has an influence on that choice too.
