nship with his brother blainey has grown to be for an inc
ident beyond the camp's perimeters a few months back

unfortunately for jamie, he has never been the type o
f person to understand when to lower his gun and adm
it defeat. rather than acknowledge his uncle's sacrifice
and the fact there was no more to be done to salvage
what remained of the gang - and that revenge is ultim
ately's a fool's game - jamie will attack sidney in a vic
ious physical brawl prior to the older man's act of flee
ing. despite being an excellent gunman, sidney is less
than a subpar fighter, and would have probably perish
ed against jamie had edvard decided not to intervene.
rather than take the side of a man he's practically hel
ped raise versus an obvious rat/gov informant (and in
return admit he killed his own found family), edvard
will use the guise of a concerned mentor in order to g
et close to jamie and subsequently incapacitate him.
edvard will inflict a nonfatal but nevertheless gruelin
g injury unto his former protege by stabbing him belo
w the clavicle, severing the network of nerves in the
brachial plexus and in turn temporarily eliminating j
amie's ability to defend himself and/or use weapons.
to edvard, it will be a deserved blow, one that jamie
deserves for 'betraying him' to the conclave, and the
ir last interaction before edvard flees with sidney. it
will be the final blow that ends their relationship.

as a result, the two children had very different experience
s growing up. søren was particularly well-loved by his gran
dparents, and he enjoyed privileges that were not even gr
anted to his own father when he was his age. most of this
could be attributed to the special circumstances surround
ing he and his sister's births, and while this revelation wo
uld eventually bring about unpleasant realities for the kol
beck twins, søren and his sister rarely complained as child
ren. suffering is considered religious amongst the people
of the mythic dawn, and as a result open conversations re
garding poor mental health, physical anomalies or even ab
errations in character that do not meet the stereotypical
views of the bloodborn are rarely entertained by the mas
ses. it is considered most dreadful to question the tribe's
religious clergy. and as one might expect in a tribe as dog

t is to be worshiped as divine. the unique circumstances of his birth and the versatility
in which he has won his many victories during times of war has earned him great respe

et in the eyes of enemy tribesmen. as a capable commander and strategic leader, his death w
ould surely cripple mythic forces up north in no man's land, something that is not lost on rival
leaders. believing him to be an inherently demonic creature (and even more so for his direct
role in executing one of their leaders), the apostates of nirn have attempted many times to
eliminate him during the bloody excursions of the northern crusades, & they were nearly suc
cessful in 2431 through their alliance with the zephyri in which they managed to ensnare the
lord ascendant and his warriors in a trap before opening fire in what is now known as the dis
astrous waylay of machisatat. while søren and some of his knights templars survived the atta
ck - albeit with a number of injuries to boot - a number of bloodborn warriors were killed by
the advanced weapons of the zephyri, and king ulrik himself ordered a bloodborn retreat aft
er receiving reports of the appalling massacre up in the frostmire XXIV. with both søren & hi
s sister having taken leadership over not only the mythic dawn's core religious leaders and a
dvisors but its subsequent religious militia & intensely trained knight templars, it is not a pr
omising combination for two people who often bend the scriptures of divine law to their ow
n benefit, albeit with skewed intentions. søren and máirín have enough influence within not
only the royal court but amongst the commoners of gibraltar that, if they so desired, they c
ould control the tides of public opinions & ideals to fit that of their own thinking, a trait th
at they most commonly - and unnervingly - share with their father. manipulative & premedi
tated when it comes to the potential consequences of their actions & its ensuing rewards, s
øren and máirín have often proved to be a menacing duo just based off of how much they t
hrive off of each other's bitterness and fanatical ideas. the queen is not ignorant to the fact
that her children most likely suffer from religious trauma syndrome (a set of symptoms, ran
ging in severity, experienced by those who have participated in authoritarian, dogmatic, &
controlling religious groups and belief systems), developed by repeated trauma over a perio
d of years rather than a one-set event. unfortunately, søren has long since begun dabbling &
participating in the very same behaviors, mindsets and actions he himself loathed as a child;
it's all he's ever known. caught constantly between lethal devotion, a striking fear of the god
s and sense of awe as well submission to such deities, søren's personal desires often come at
the price of later dreading eternal suffering. there is no number that accurately portrays the
amount of people who have been burned at the stake by his command, or the amount of pris
oners that have perished at knarwood keep by his orders. as the high inquisitor, søren has led
numerous raids and investigations all across gibraltar, often separating families, seizing gene
rational wealth and lands, and setting fire to bloodlines in the name of the valëkrya. his unst
able endeavors have made him an enemy of not only certain sectors of the royal court but so
me of his family as well. having spent most of the past decade involved in warfare, the lord i
nquisitor's need to have the upper hand over everyone and everything prevails prominently.
