alton argent. human, male, 45, a leader of the mines. former geologist who discovered a
cave system at the end of some abandoned mineshafts just before the invasion. lost his yo
ung daughter en route to the mines. despite his grief, he has proven an unfailing leader w
ho doesn't hesitate to do what it takes to keep people safe. always remains in control of a
situation & never loses his cool. well-liked and holds a lot of weight w/ others but remains
humble & democratic. logical & realistic, almost grave in his leadership role. very private
but staightforward & approachable. avoids speaking of both the past & future, focused on
the here & now bc he still grieves for his daughter & refuses to give up surviving. doesn't a
ppear to be dangerous but radiates a slightly unnerving intensity. is supremely hateful of s
