Every word out of Valentina’s mouth is blunt and to the point. She tells it like it is and doesn’t bother dancing around difficult topics. She is fiercely loyal to those she cares about, and would do anything to protect them, but she believes honesty is always the best policy. Even if the truth hurts, it’s still the truth, and it’s going to come out sooner or later (yikes this makes the caleb thing awkward...i can work with that). She is dedicated, passionate and ambitious. When she is interested in learning something or achieving something, she’ll put all her focus in it, her confidence in herself seeming to never waver, and she’ll continue at it until she achieves what she set out to do. She’s confident and good at talking to people, and though she seems to be friends with everyone in the school, she likes to stick with her little group. A bit of an ambivert, she enjoys going out and doing things, but is also happy to stay in and enjoy a quiet night studying or watching movies. She’s passionate about a lot of different things, and her current struggle is deciding between law, science and design. She loves to draw, design and sew clothes and hopes to run her own fashion empire someday, but is under a lot of pressure from her parents to have a more academic job, pressuring her to put more focus on science and math. Though she can be a bit impulsive at times, she always takes the safety of herself and others into account and can be a bit of a mom friend.

likes: creating/designing clothes, painting, music, talking to people, biology and chemistry
dislikes: judgemental people, musicals, idk she seems opinionated there should be more dislikes
fears: failure, disappointing her parents, not being good enough
motivation/want: to be successful at everything she does and live up to her parents expectations
need: to accept that she's flawed maybe? or to deal with the Caleb Situation or to stand up to her parents idk

Valentina was born at a young age. That’s what I meant to say. Her family emigrated from Columbia (to the U.S.? or maybe England or something idk) when she was three (i should probably have a reason for that that might be relevant) and moved to wherever the hell they hell they live when she was nine. Her parents are both very successful--a doctor and a lawyer--but both struggled a lot to get where they are, so they’ve put a lot of pressure on her to do well in school and follow in their footsteps.

✥Having spent most of her life on the run, Evie is restless and never seems to stop moving. She doesn’t make friends easily, as she treats everyone with the same harsh, abrasive attitude. Having learnt early on the risks of opening up and letting people in, she consistently keeps people at a distance and always keeps her guard up. The most she looks for in people is what she can get from them. She’s quick to anger, and not afraid to be the first one to throw a punch. Stubborn and impulsive, she doesn’t listen to advice from anyone, and tends to do the opposite of what she’s told. Evie is independent to a fault, and only ever thinks of herself, not worrying about or caring how her words or actions will affect others.

✥The beginning of Evie’s life she was surrounded by wealth. Though her father was elusive about what he did for work, her and her older brother were given everything they could possibly want. When she was five, she began going to camp with her brother during the summer. Their father was arrested and sent to prison when she was seven, leaving Evie in the care of her older brother, who had only just turned eighteen at the time. Her brother began to get involved with the gang their father had worked for, and three years later, he went missing. Evie was sent to live with her grandparents, who didn’t want her to suffer the same fate as her father and brother and attempted to raise her “properly”. This only caused Evie to rebel more, and after a year of living with them, she ran away. Still in possession of some of her father’s money, she used this to travel, never staying in one place for too long. Not long after her sixteenth birthday, when she was beginning to think she’d finally escaped her past, Evie was kidnapped and brought to an abandoned factory. There she found out that her brother was still alive. She was threatened and forced to choose between her brother’s life, her father’s money, or killing the man who was threatening them. In the end, her brother was killed and Evie burnt the factory to the ground using her powers. She continued to live on the run, only coming to camp during summers to train. Eventually, she ran out of money and had to make do with what she had. Because of this, most of her clothes are old, worn out and don’t fit her properly, but she refuses to take anything offered to her.
